Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you and Gama Valley, Tibet. By booking a trip, you agree to be bound by these terms, which outline, among other things, our cancellation policy and certain limitations of liability. These terms affect your rights and designate the governing law and forum for resolving any and all disputes.
1. How to sign the tour contract
When you decide to book a tour with Karma Valley Travel Agency, Tibet, please request a formal tour contract from your travel advisor. The contract will outline all agreements between you and Krama Valley Travel Agency, Tibet.
Steps to sign the contract: Fill in the Travelers List and Health Status on the first page. Sign your name on each page of the contract. Provide your contract information on the last page. After signing, please scan, fax, or email the completed contract to our company and ensure we receive it.
Contract validity: The contract will take effect when both of the following conditions are met: Our company has received the signed contract.
2. Deposit Payment Terms
✓ Future bookings by the participant or their immediate family members on the Tibet Krama Valley Tourism Website;
※ Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters);
※ Unilateral cancellation by the travel agency;
※ Changes in government policies that render the itinerary unfeasible.
3.Cancel or cut off the trip
A. Travelers cancel the tour personally before the tour start You may cancel your tour after it is confirmed with payment; you will be liable to pay cancellation charges. Cancellation charges are as follows:
B. The Tour has to be cancelled due to political reason. Cancellation 10 days before departure due to political reasons or natural force, No cancellation charge on local tour, but the lost caused by refunding flight tickets and train tickets shall be borne by the travelers.
C. If Tour has to be cut off by any physical disease or personal reasons when they are in Tibet.Local tour expenses: 60% of the unused local tour expenses, including entrance fees to tourist attractions, accommodation fees, guide fees, private car fees, etc. as stipulated in the tour contract, can be refunded to tourists.
Airfare: Travelers can get refund of airfare according to the policy of Airline Company.
Train Fare: Travelers can get 60-80% refund of unused train fare according to the policy of train station.
4.Modifications
A.About modification after the trip starts
※ If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by uncontrollable force, such as weather, unforeseen circumstances, political upheavals, etc., neither party shall be held responsible, and any extra cost thus caused shall be covered by the tourist himself.
※ If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by an air or rail transportation Company, or other factors that are beyond the control of Tour company, we shall not be held responsible for the losses thus caused.
※ If a tourist has to leave his tour group because of accident, injury, or serious illness, a refund of 10% of the unused tour fare shall be made to the tourist. No refund will be made available for a tour member who otherwise quit the tour group on his own account.
※ No refund shall be given for any portions of the tour package unused by the participant voluntarily.
※ For any increase on fuel oil tax
If necessary, tourists can modify the departure date 30 days before the start of the trip. All cancellations must be made in writing and will take effect upon receipt by Tibet Karma Valley International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. in accordance with tour regulations.
B. About Modifying the Tour Contract before the trip starts
Free modifications to the tour contract (e.g., departure date, service items, itinerary, group size, etc.) are permitted within 30 days of signing the contract.
A 5% service fee (based on the total agreed trip cost) will apply for second and subsequent modifications.
We reserve the right to re-quote for any contract modifications.
* The final interpretation right of the above content is reserved by Tibet Karma Valley International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. within the scope permitted by law.
5. Governing law/submission to jurisdiction
This contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China. All disputes arising out of or in connection with this contract shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before the people’s courts of Hangzhou, China. This contract is written in English.
6. Travel insurance
This fee includes the premium for the Personal Travel Accident Insurance (Chinese: 旅游意外伤害保险,with the right of interpretation reserved by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd.) provided by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. In the event of an insured accident as stipulated in the insurance contract, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. will compensate for the corresponding losses; however, the specific compensation amount and proportion shall be determined upon verification by the insurance company’s relevant personnel.
We are only responsible for assisting the insurance company in investigations, compensation, and supervising the implementation of compensation, and shall not assume any liability or compensation beyond those stipulated in the insurance contract with the insurance company. Any disputes shall be handled exclusively in accordance with the Insurance Law of the People’s Republic of China and relevant laws.
This insurance only covers accidents occurring within the territory of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). Our company does not provide insurance coverage for incidents outside China and will not compensate for accidents occurring outside China.
Our company strongly recommends that travelers purchase additional insurance independently as a supplement to the tour insurance provided by our company. The maximum compensation amount is RMB 250,000, subject to the terms of the Personal Travel Accident Insurance (Chinese: 旅游意外伤害保险,interpretation rights reserved by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd.) provided by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd.
