Days 1–5: Focus on Tsang’s sacred mountains and lakes (e.g., Lake Manasarovar), avoiding prolonged high-altitude exertion.

Days 6–9: Shift to cultural immersion in Lhasa, with a full-day "Potala Palace – Jokhang Temple – Barkhor Street CityWalk" at a relaxed pace, soaking in the holy city’s atmosphere.

Morning:meet at the designated assembly point in Kathmandu (departure time estimated at 8:00 AM, subject to the guide’s notice). Drive through Nepal’s pastoral landscapes to a China-Nepal border town, experiencing the cultural transition from Hinduism to Tibetan civilization. 

Afternoon:Stay overnight at a Nepal border hotel, preparing for the next day’s entry into Tibet, China.

Morning:complete formalities and cross the China-Nepal Friendship Bridge. Drive 25 km into Gyirong, Tibet—known as the "Backyard of Everest"—a paradise surrounded by snow-capped mountains. On the right side of the road stands the 4,680-meter-high Riwobanba Peak, while the 7,227-meter-high Lantang Lirung Peak towers to the south.

Afternoon:traverse Jipu Grand Canyon to reach the Jibu Meditation Cave. Scattered among the mountains surrounding Gyirong Town are numerous sacred sites where Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) once meditated in seclusion, with some remaining hidden and unknown. Accompanied by a guide, visit one of these seclusion caves where Padmasambhava practiced meditation.

Morning:arrive at the shores of Peiku Tso, where you may encounter Tibetan wild asses and other wildlife, as well as the reflections of holy mountains in the lake.

Afternoon:admire the desolate, majestic, and solemn scenery of the Zhongba Sand Dunes, which exude a haunting wild beauty. Stay overnight in Payang Town.

Morning:follow the asphalt road of the Ali South Line to reach Zhongba County, where you can see the upper reaches of the Brahmaputra River—Horse Spring River. Pass through Payang Town, home to Tibetan residents with rich ethnic charm. Continue west over Mayum La Pass (5,200m above sea level), where the blue Gongzhu Tso (Gongzhu Lake) appears on the left side of the road, surrounded by fertile grasslands and flocks of cattle and sheep. After Gongzhu Tso, the Namunani Peak comes into view.

Afternoon:pay homage to "the Source of All Waters"—Manasarovar Lake. Walk along the lake circumambulation path to purify your hands with holy water and observe devotees circumambulating the lake. Capture the magical reflection of Mount Kailash on the deep blue surface of Rakshas Tal (the "Ghost Lake"). Stay overnight in Darchen Town.

Morning:photograph Mount Kailash. The moment you lay eyes on it is enough to leave you in awe. The ever-changing clouds and winds create different vistas of the holy mountain every minute. Its reputation as a "holy mountain" stems not only from religious belief but also from its mysterious and unpredictable beauty.

Afternoon:soak in the Highland Radiance and bid farewell to the holy mountains and lakes. Relive memories of Ali at Mayum La Pass and take photos at the Zhongba Sand Dunes in the upper reaches of the Brahmaputra River. Return to Saga in the evening.

Morning:Visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the historic seat of successive Panchen Lamas. Explore highlights including the 26.2-meter-tall Jampa Buddha (the world’s tallest and largest copper statue of Maitreya), the stupa halls of the 10th and 4th Panchen Lamas, the joint stupa hall of the 5th to 9th Panchen Lamas, and the Tsogchen Grand Hall.

Morning:arrive at Palcho Monastery, the largest monastery in Gyantse. The monastery’s White Stupa is the best-preserved and most magnificent architectural treasure in Tibet, housing over a thousand clay, bronze, and gold Buddha statues—known as a "museum of Buddha statues."

Afternoon:Arrive in Lhasa and check into a hotel.

Morning:visit the Potala Palace, Tibet’s most iconic landmark and an ancient palace-fortress-monastery complex. Next, explore the Thousand Buddha Cliff, where thousands of colorful and diverse Buddha statues are carved into the cliff, dating back to the 7th century during the reign of Songtsen Gampo and expanded over successive dynasties—a stunning sight.

Afternoon:visit the Jokhang Temple, home to the 12-year-old equally sized statue of Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by Princess Wencheng, a supremely sacred relic in Tibetan Buddhism. Witness devout pilgrims who have traveled far to pay homage. Then, embark on a special Barkhor Street Citywalk along the 1,300-year-old street, a "moving spiritual practice" where you follow prostrating pilgrims to feel the temperature of the stone slabs.
