Morning: we arrived at the Potala Palace, a highly renowned landmark in Tibet and an ancient palace-fort complex integrating palaces, castles, and monasteries. Next, we visited the Thousand-Buddha Cliff, where the cliff face is densely covered with thousands of colorful and vivid Buddha statues. The earliest statues can be traced back to the 7th century during the period of Songtsen Gampo, and through successive additions and carvings over the dynasties, it has formed its current scale, which is extremely impressive.

Afternoon:we visited the Jokhang Temple, where the 12-year-old equal-body statue of Buddha brought into Tibet by Princess Wencheng is enshrined. This statue is extremely sacred in Tibetan Buddhism, and believers travel far and wide to pay homage here. Their devout appearance is truly touching.

Then, we arrived at Barkhor Street, which has a history of more than 1,300 years, and arranged a special Barkhor Street CityWalk—a moving practice where you measure the temperature of the stone slabs alongside pilgrims performing full-length prostrations. We will then arrange a special experience: Thangka/Tibetan Incense Experience (Choose 1 out of 2). The traditional Tibetan incense-making technique uses dozens of raw materials such as cypress tree trunks, musk, and white sandalwood. You can personally experience the basic process of making Tibetan incense, or converse with faith through minerals and pigments, sketching your own work under the guidance of a Thangka painter.

Evening:we will arrange dinner. After the meal, we will organize an activity for interested guests to shoot a video with the Potala Palace as the backdrop, creating a unique memento of your trip to Tibet.

Morning:Follow the secret passage of the Tibetan Empire (Tubo Dynasty) toward the mystical cliffside realm and visit Drak Yerpa Monastery. The 108 meditation caves here safeguard Padmasambhava’s hidden terma treasures. Later, as you seek the reliquary stupa of Tsongkhapa within the crimson labyrinth of monastic quarters at Norbulingk , the echoes of philosophical debates from the mountaintop will unveil the 600-year legacy of the Gelug School.

Afternoon: At Nakjé Mountain Pass , join a prayer flag ritual. Hang vibrant, wish-inscribed flags at the windswept pass, letting your aspirations soar across Lhasa’s skies.

Evening: We recommend a self-funded ticket to the outdoor epic Princess Wencheng . Staged against the dramatic backdrop of the Potala Palace, this performance recounts the 1,300-year-old tale of a Tang Dynasty princess’s journey to Tibet. (To attend, please confirm with your guide 24 hours in advance.)

Our 4day Tibet Essence tour with Tibet Karma Valley Tour redefined spiritual travel. At Sera Monastery’s debating courtyard, I was invited to toss my questions to the monks – their energetic claps echoed ancient wisdom. But the true revelation came in Lhasa workshop,we joined locals kneading tsampa barley flour with butter tea, learning that clockwise stirring brings good fortune.
