🌍Immersive Circumambulation of Lake Manasarovar:

Roar along the western shore by motorbike, capturing the iconic "Divine Confrontation" of Mount Kailash and Mount Nannu sitting across the lake. Kill the engine, set up by prayer flags, and witness the liquid sky transform from gold to indigo as dusk claims the horizon.

🌍Mount Kailash Kora Observance:

Gaze at the pyramid summit of Kailash from Darchen (weather permitting). Hang prayer flags beneath the world’s tallest prayer flag pole (50m), blessed by Tibetan guides through chanting rituals.

Depart Kathmandu in the morning and ride northeast along the China-Nepal Highway (Aniko Highway). Traverse the Trisuli River Gorge and pass by Pashupatinath Temple ("Burned Body Temple") on the banks of the Bagmati River. In the afternoon, reach the Gyirong Port border crossing, enter China, and cycle to Gyirong Town (2,800m altitude) to meet the Tibetan team.

Ride northwest along G216 National Highway and conquer the Kongtanglam Mountain Pass (5,236m altitude). The "108 Switchbacks" on Kongtanglam Mountain test your riding skills, with prayer flags fluttering at the pass—perfect for "hardcore photo ops" with motorcycles and snow-capped peaks. En route, spot Mount Shishapangma from the southern shore of Lake Peiku. Arrive in Zhongba County (4,700m altitude) at dusk.

Cross the Mayum La Pass (5,216m altitude, the boundary between northern Tibet and Ngari), where a stone monument inscribed with "Secret Realm of Western Tibet, Celestial Ngari" marks the iconic starting point of the Ngari Loop.

Enter the "Center of the World," Ngari Prefecture, and arrive at "Heavenly Jade Pool" Lake Manasarovar (4,588m altitude) in the afternoon. Known in Tibetan as "Invincible Lake," it is a sacred lake for Buddhism, Hinduism, and Bon. Stay overnight at the simple but scenic Qiwu Temple Guesthouse by the lake.

In the morning, visit Qiwu Temple (built in the 12th century), featuring murals in the style of the Guge Dynasty and rock carvings of the Six Syllable Mantra outside meditation caves. Explore Padmasambhava’s meditation cave near Qiwu Temple.

In the afternoon, hold a blessing ceremony at the northern shore of Lake Manasarovar (optional cold-water bathing; it is recommended to only wipe hands with lake water). Ride to Darchoding, the starting point of the Mount Kailash kora, to visit the world’s largest prayer flag pole (50 meters tall, replaced annually during the Saga Dawa Festival). Arrive in Darchen Town (4,670m altitude) at dusk.

Gaze at the pyramid-shaped summit of Mount Kailash from Darchen in the morning (weather permitting), then return to Zhongba County along the same route. Cross Payang Grassland (covered in golden lotus flowers in summer) and stop to photograph the northern Tibetan scenery of "herds of yaks emerging from swaying grass." The highway from Payang to Zhongba is flat for "cruising," but watch out for sudden marmot burrows.

Ride south through the Shishapangma Nature Reserve, along the eastern shore of Lake Peiku, and down the Gyirong Zangbo River Canyon. Experience a dramatic altitude drop from 4,700m to 2,800m, transitioning from alpine desert to subtropical rainforest. Near Gyirong Town, wild bananas and waterfalls line the road—wear a waterproof face mask for the humid air. In the afternoon, freely explore "Nai Village" in the depths of Gyirong Valley, a hidden viewpoint offering panoramic canyon views with terraced fields and Tibetan houses, like a paradise.
