Afternoon:Attend Sera Monastery’s Monk Debates (Mon-Fri), watching crimson-robed monks spar in philosophical dialogues.
Afternoon:head to Shigatse and check in.
Morning:We will head to the long-awaited Mount Everest National Nature Reserve. On the way passing through Lhatse, we will first arrive at Gyawula Pass. If we are lucky enough, we can see five snow-capped mountains over 8,000 meters high from here. Arranged from left to right, they are Makalu, Lhotse, Mount Everest, Cho Oyu and Shishapangma. Here, the snow-clad mountain peaks are all within our sight, and life directly faces the grandeur of the heaven, earth and the universe in a most straightforward way.
Afternoon:we will arrive at the Everest Base Camp and get off the vehicle. Take photos with the monument of Mount Everest which is 8,848.86 meters high. Then, you can freely visit the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world in terms of altitude. Many mountaineering experts believe that the location of the Rongbuk Monastery is exactly the best place to view Mount Everest. Next to the Rongbuk Monastery, there is the world's highest-themed post office. Everyone can put their business cards into the mailbox and send out postcards.
After finishing the visit, go to the hotel or guesthouse to check in at an appropriate time.
Morning:Capture Lhotse (8,516m), the world’s 4th highest peak, en route.Explore Sakya Monastery, the “Second Dunhuang,” famed for its 100,000 ancient scriptures and gray-red-white architecture.
Morning: Discover Tashilhunpo Monastery, the Panchen Lamas’ seat. Marvel at the 26.2m golden Maitreya Buddha and reliquary stupas of past Panchen Lamas.
Afternoon: Return to Lhasa.
Evening (Optional): Attend the "Princess Wencheng" Outdoor Theater (extra cost), a spectacular show against Potala Palace’s backdrop.
